Coarse corn flakes from Brazil are especially suitable for making "Cuscuz Nordestino". It is mainly cooked in the north of Brazil and has its origins in North African cuisine (couscous). Couscous is not boiled for cooking, but steamed over boiling water or a boiling dish, in a special pot (cuscuzeira). Couscous is the main ingredient or side dish of many dishes with various vegetables and, in many cases, meat. The corn flakes are also suitable for making corn cakes and desserts, for example with milk, sultanas or almonds.
