Cova da Beira is a privileged wine-growing region. The cultivation of vines and the production of wine in this region date back to the Roman occupation of the Iberian Peninsula in the 1st century BC and has endured over the centuries for its typicality and quality. In the 19th century, Napoleon Bonaparte was informed of the quality of Cova da Beira's wines, which were capable of being exported to through the port of Figueira da Foz. The concept is to produce a traditional wine with a modern edge.
