Oito Bicas has its origins in a 19th century fountain with eight spouts that supplied the population of Fundão. Legend has it that the boy who drinks water from the 8 spouts fountain will marry a girl from Fundão. The concept is to create a wine that retains the characteristics of the region's wines, produced from the traditional grape varieties blended in the old vineyards where several grape varieties were planted to obtain a balanced wine.
