Vó Elisa's story begins in Murça, where Grandma Elisa learned the art of creating regional cured meats alongside her mother, Maria do Carmo. In 1974, she took her passion to Alijó, crafting sausages that boasted authenticity and taste rooted in family traditions.
The journey continued when Grandma Elisa and Grandpa Zeca moved to Pinhão and founded “Talho Novo,” a butcher’s shop that would become the cornerstone of their culinary legacy.
Today, that heritage is lovingly carried on by her son Paulo and grandchildren Tiago, Ricardo, and André. Vó Elisa is more than a brand—it’s a tribute to shared memories, a journey back to the kitchen table, and the soul of home-cooked meals.
